This data is essential for the core functionality of the app, to track your learning journey, and to personalize your experience. This data is directly tied to your user account.
• Usage Data (Derivative Data): Our servers automatically collect certain information when you access or use the application. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visits. This data is collected to ensure the secure and stable operation of our service.

We do not collect or process any other personal information, such as names, addresses (other than those you might provide if you contact us directly via email), phone numbers, or payment information, as our service is non-monetized and does not involve direct user input beyond multiple-choice answers during exercises.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR (Performance of a Contract): The processing of your email address (for account creation and management) and user progress data (for providing the learning service) is necessary for the performance of the contract (the use of the FluenTurk application) with you.
• Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR (Legitimate Interests): The processing of usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type) for ensuring the secure and stable operation of the website, as well as the use of anonymized Google Analytics data for service improvement, is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a functional, secure, and user-friendly online service.

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We use the information collected about you via FluenTurk solely to:

• Create and manage your user account.
• Enable core application functionality, such as tracking your progress on learning paths, exercises, quiz scores, and daily challenge streaks.

• Monitor and analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns and trends to improve and optimize the application's performance, features, and user experience.

We do not use your email address or any other collected data for marketing purposes, newsletters, or any form of unsolicited contact.

Your information, including account and user progress data, is securely stored in a database (Firestore) provided by Google Firebase. Firebase is a Google service that adheres to high security standards. The servers for our database (Firestore) are located in the **EU (europe-west3)**. We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access.

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for user authentication and Firestore as our database to store your account and progress data. Google's privacy policy applies to their services.
